Get Off The Fence

Joe Miranda July 29, 2010

How many people are thinking of starting a musical career by playing the guitar? One of the things they are not sure of is what type of guitar to start off with.

My feelings about that is, acoustic guitar packages are just the thing to get you off the fence. Not only are these acoustic guitars a thing of beauty, they can be played with or without a guitar amplifier. The more bucks you have to pluck down on one of these guitars the better the finish will be, along with a better equalizer, not to mention the appliques. You will find exceptional appliques around the sound hole, and also take notice of the binding all around the guitar.

When you lump together a guitar accessories like, a guitar amplifier, guitar stand, gig bag, electronic tuner, guitar strap, guitar cable, guitar polish with cloths, along with your choice of acoustic guitar it makes your choice a no brain-er, acoustic guitar packages it is.

Check Out Stadium Guitars

Joe Miranda July 27, 2010

Are you in the market for a brand new electric guitar? Have you checked out the Stadium guitars? If you haven’t your in for a real treat.

I dare you to find electric guitars finished better than Stadium guitars. These guitars along with stadium guitars are finished to standards found on much higher priced electrics. Along with the great finish you will find licenced Grover gears. Stadium guitars can be found in most of the popular style guitars ranging from Strat to Tele to Jazz. These electric guitars are destined to become one of you favorites, once you have played one.

While your at it check out the New York Pro guitars, there made by the same people who make the Stadium guitars.

If your looking to start a musical career playing electric guitar and don’t have a lot of money to purchase a guitar, don’t feel embarrassed, it starts with cheap electric guitars. Now I don’t know what age group your in but in my day most of your top band members who are all top names today started with a cheap guitar.

When I say cheap guitars you should see some of the electric guitars they started out with, today things are different, a new cheap guitar is only as cheap as you want to spend. Some of the cheaper guitars are real good for those who are starting out. If you want to spend more you can still but a cheap guitar but these will last you a good long time, some you won’t mind even playing gigs with.

Glen Burton Guitars

Joe Miranda July 24, 2010

Prior to having a store that sells electric guitars I never heard of some of the manufacturers like Glen Burton Guitars and New York Pro guitars, that I am selling . Like I’m sure many of you I was skeptical of anything other than the top manufacturers.

Much to my surprise these electric guitars and bass guitars play great, and for a much cheaper price. Team them up a 20 watt guitar amplifier and you are ready to play with the best of them. These electrics come in all your favorite styles which include strats, teles, and even jazz style guitars. You won’t be disappointed with the way these guitars look or sound, so make your move towards one of these fine electric guitars.

Perfect Pitch

Joe Miranda July 17, 2010

I am very fortunate because in one of my first bands there was a guy who played tenor saxophone, while I played bass guitar, and this guy had perfect pitch. When I say perfect pitch, I mean perfect pitch, you can ask this guy to stand on the other side of the room with his back turned towards you and my brother who was on keyboards would play a chord, this guy would not only tell you the notes, he would also tell you what succession they were played.

Now back in the 60’s I used a pitch pipe to tune my bass, and inevitably when you play sometimes you go out of key, having this guy was a blessing, because whenever we would play a gig and you would go out of tune he would assist on tuning you up, which made the task very easy.

Not everyone is going to run across someone like this, that’s why you need to find bass guitar packages that include an electronic tuner to help you tune your bass or electric guitar.

Natural Talent

Joe Miranda July 16, 2010

Whether it be professional sports, writing, drawing, or playing electric guitar there is no substitute for practicing. Even if you are one of those very lucky individuals who have natural talents you still need to practice religiously.

For me one of the keys of practicing is to stay focused. This is not always an easy thing to do, life has a lot of distractionsand sometimes we need a little help. One way to stay focused is, if you have some extra cash get yourself one of the great new electric guitar packages that are available, if this is not an option for you find yourself someone else who plays electric guitar, or even bass guitar and practice with them. I always found when I practiced with the rest of the band your concentration is better.

Thanks to video games like Guitar Hero playing electric guitars has remained one the great instruments to play. Playing the electric guitar became the thing to do back in the early 60’s when a little known band called The Beatles brought a sound to rock and roll that revived what the late Buddy Holly tried to do.

While playing Guitar Hero with it’s electric guitar, and bass guitar copies that emulate their original guitars, there’s nothing like playing the real thing. Playing guitar is an accomplishment that only a few people know, and many people are in awe of. It is something you can take with you through your lifetime, no matter what your skill level is.

So for all you Guitar Hero gurus I say put down those fake guitars and pick up a real electric guitar, you will be glad you did.

Beginners Choice

Joe Miranda July 13, 2010

Are you just starting out playing electric guitar and are undecided on what to look into for your first guitar? I would like to suggest to a brand of guitar that you may or may not have heard of before, Glen Burton guitars.

Glen Burton guitars are an attractive and affordable line of guitar that can take you from beginner to intermediate, and even to playing gigs. They come in different most popular styles and colors, and if you pick their stratocaster line they feature a European style pick guard. You will be quite impressed with the sound of these guitars, especially when they cost only a fraction of the cost of higher end guitars. If your looking for a first electric guitar, or maybe even a second or third, you might want to try one of these beauties, you might be surprised.

The Gift Of Acoustics

Joe Miranda July 9, 2010

Do you know anybody who plays electric guitar and has a special occasion coming up? How would you like to really surprise them with a very special gift?

Acoustic guitar packages are often overlooked by anyone playing electric guitar. The first choice for someone is to purchase an electric guitar, mainly because their mostly used by rockers on stage. Purchasing an acoustic guitar is something they don’t think about until later in their musical career.

As a gift an acoustic guitar package it will not only give them another guitar amplifier that can be used as a pre-amp along with their original guitar amp, it will also give them an introduction into the world of acoustic guitars and the great sound that can be achieved from them.

All Guitarists Have One

Joe Miranda July 6, 2010

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or professional everybody has a cheap electric guitar in their collection.  Cheap electric guitars are what got us started in the first place.

When you watch the professionals play all you see is the high end, high tech (depending on who you are watching), but if you look to their roots you will find an electric guitar that perhaps you wouldn’t even want to play it’s that cheap looking, but that’s what they got started with. It makes me laugh sometimes when I read comments on electric guitars because some guys just don’t get it, if it’s not made by one of the top brand manufacturers then it’s just no good. I’ve read them bash an electric guitar manufacturers that they never heard of.

I guess the point I’m trying to get across is if you like it buy it, you can always upgrade later.
