Band Perks

Joe Miranda December 15, 2011
Learning to play bass guitars in the mid 1960′s was challenging because there wasn’t much information readily available like today with the Internet. Yes from learning how to play to purchasing bass guitar packages the information you needed you had to get on your own.

It wasn’t until I joined a band that filled in the missing pieces. I have nothing but good thoughts when I think about the earlier bands I was in. When it came to playing electric guitars and bass guitars there was always someone to help fill in the puzzle that was in my mind. There was always someone around with the knowledge that I was lacking and was not afraid to share it. Even when it came to playing in between songs you could always try playing someone else’s electric guitars and bass guitars. That was a nice thing because you could actually try different guitars without having to purchase them.

Looks Can Be Deceiving

Joe Miranda December 11, 2011

Have you ever looked at an object thinking that it was something else? You thought that because it looked exactly like or was so close to the original you couldn’t tell them apart.

Have you taken a look a Stadium Guitars lately? They look exactly like their more expensive cousins but with a fraction of the cost. Some people might comment on the net that they never heard of these electric guitars, and they are probably right, but that doesn’t make bad guitars. What they are actually are terrific cheap electric guitars built using the more expensive model as an example.

How’s Your Acoustics

Joe Miranda November 24, 2011
Most people new to the guitar world opt to purchase electric guitars without even thinking about acoustic guitars. I guess in the world of rock it is more glamorous to them to own electrics rather than acoustic guitars.
Acoustic guitar packages come fully equipped with everything you need to start your music career and they offer one very important thing, they can be played with or without a guitar amplifier. If they ever stopped to actually look at an acoustic guitar they would see the beauty of the craftsmanship that goes into one of these guitars. From the inlays around the sound hole to the contrasting binding on the edge of the top it is plain to see an electric guitar is no match for the overall beauty of an acoustic guitar.

Not Everyone Can Be A Rock Star

Joe Miranda October 12, 2011

As the title of this blog implies, not everyone can be a rock star. Being a rock star means having a sound that people are willing to pay to hear. Some of us have a sound that’s good enough to play gigs but that’s it. You might find some bands that have a terrific sound but just haven’t been lucky enough to be discovered.

Being a rock star you have unlimited resources which means you can buy what ever, and how ever many electric guitars you want. For those of us non rock stars that’s where cheap electric guitars come in. At a fraction of their cost you can purchase guitars made by New York Pro Guitars and Stadium guitars that look exactly like their expensive cousins. These electric guitars allow you to experiment and find the sound that you are looking for.

The Instruments Of Rock

Joe Miranda October 10, 2011

Buddy Holly brought us to a new music genre with an electric guitar a stand-up bass and a set of drums. At the time no one believed you could have a complete sound with just three pieces, but he proved them wrong.

Since then the heart of any rock and roll band is the electric guitars. Since then the electric guitar packages as I like to call them have been used in numerous configurations. The double bass was replaced by bass guitars, and as far as guitars I have seen bands that incorporate tw0, three, and four guitars, check out The Doobie Brothers or The Eagles for example.

Show me a band that doesn’t utilize electric guitars in it and I will show you a band that is not a rock and roll band.

Consumed By The Bass

Joe Miranda October 9, 2011

I can’t explain it but all my life I tend to focus more on bass guitars than any other instrument. Yes in the 1960′s I was able to hear through the terrific electric guitars playing exceptional solo’s, along with moving rhythms and single out the bass line.

I have managed to secure many bass guitar packages through the years. Some have cheap bass guitars and some expensive ones. I have played and owned quite a few bass guitars, including a j-bass, a p-bass, and a violin bass, I also own a hollow body bass guitar that looks like the Gibson E355 hollow body guitar.

Although I don’t play gigs anymore I still own them all and play them all. Each style adds something else to your sound. If there is anything you get out of this blog it’s don’t underestimate cheap electric guitars. It’s a way to own several different types of guitars without breaking the bank.

The Wonderful World Of Wood

Joe Miranda October 4, 2011

Has anybody else besides me ever noticed the beauty and many uses for wood? It is sometimes disguised with color of a covering of some kind but when you look around it is with every single day.

The homes we live in are made of wood because of its strength, the kitchen cabinets are made of wood because of its strength and beauty. The furniture you sit on is also made of wood, even if it is an upholstered chair (the frame is made of wood).

Cheap electric guitars, cheap bass guitars share the same thing as expensive guitars do, you guessed it they too are made of wood. The body of your electric guitar can be made of numerous species of wood from alder, mahogany, and ash for the body, just to name a few, to maple and rosewood for the neck. Wood can be cutout to form any shape imaginable.

Music Is For Everyone

Joe Miranda September 29, 2011

Everyday people everywhere listen to music. I don’t care if you are old or young there is a music style for you. There are some people who not only listen to music but play either electric guitars or bass guitars also.

When you are a guitar player it is like double dipping, you not only listen to music, but you can play it also. It makes no difference if you play cheap electric guitars and play in the privacy of your own home or you play guitar in public, music is something to be enjoyed by everyone.

Another great thing about music is there is a music genre to suit everyone. Just as there is a vast amount of selection when it comes to listening to music, there is also a vast amount guitars to choose from, like Glen Burton Guitars, New York Pro Guitars, and Stadium guitars.

Options

Joe Miranda September 17, 2011

Wouldn’t life be boring if everyone looked the same as you, or dressed the same because there was only one style of clothes in only one color. How about if there were only one kind of car, in one color and no options to make it yours.

Well thank goodness life isn’t that way and there are plenty of options. Cheap electric guitars in electric guitar packages gives you those options when it comes to playing and owning electric guitars. With expensive model guitars you can only afford to purchase one, but cheap electric guitars gives you options. Options to own a few different styles in electric or bass guitars and not break the bank. Manufacturers like New York Pro Guitars, Glen Burton Guitars and Stadium Guitars are just a few of the fine names that you will find who manufacture a great line of cheap electric guitars.

A Guitar Treat

Joe Miranda September 15, 2011

When is the last time that you did something for yourself? Especially with the economy being what it is, it’s a hard thing to find some extra money for  yourself. Wouldn’t it be nice to find something that hasn’t been affected by rising costs.

Electric guitars and electric guitar packages might just be what you are looking for. Cheap electric guitars cost a fraction of the expensive guitars they look like. Let’s not forget bass guitars and bass guitar packages, they are as affordable as electric guitars are.

If you are a guitar player like me you know there is nothing like the feeling of playing a new guitar, or having several guitars to choose from. There is a definite difference in the sound from a hollow body guitar to a solid body guitar, just as there is a different sound going from a telecaster to a stratocaster electric guitar. So why not treat yourself today to a new guitar, you’ll be glad you did.
