For Some It’s Effortless

Joe Miranda September 27, 2011

Cheap electric guitars are designs that are meant to copy the beauty and elegance of the expensive electric guitars they mimic. Teamed with the right guitar amplifier they can serve you well for a very long time.

You will find the same thing holds true for cheap bass guitars. Put anyone of these guitars in the hands of someone that can play well and they sound as good as the originals.

Which brings me to playing styles. There are some musicians that look like they are in pain while playing. They make it seem as though what they are doing is that difficult, when anyone with knowledge of playing guitar can do the very same thing. On the other hand there are others that make playing guitar look effortless.

The Best Guitar Player

Joe Miranda September 26, 2011

Who is The best guitarist around today? My answer to that is that depends on the kind of music that you are into. I don’t mean to be so vague about it but when you see peoples responses some agree and some go in the direction of the music they like. The guitar packages that each use doesn’t even come into play as just like the answers they vary greatly.

Angus Young of AC/DC is one name that seems to come up often, and why not. His electric guitar solos have kept our interest for more than thirty years, not to mention his patented duck walk. For my money you can’t beat Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton. They have been leaders when it comes to the art of playing guitar. I would also include Lindsey Buckingham in my list, with his finger-picking style of play that makes him one of the best.

The granddaddy of them all for me is Mark Knopfler. His achievements in music speak for them selves. He has played guitar with other artists such as Eric Clapton, and Chet Atkins (another one of my all time favorite guitar players). He has several honorary doctorates, and is 27th on the list of greatest guitarists of all time. He owns 70 guitars and is known to use several electric guitar packages to change his sound for each song.

What Does It Take To Be A Pro

Joe Miranda September 23, 2011

Many people just starting to play electric guitars and bass guitars don’t think they have what it takes to be a professional. They feel because they just started out, and play cheap electric guitars and cheap bass guitars they don’t have what it takes.

My answer to that is that statement is far away from the truth. First of all cheap electric guitars today are not cheap in the quality of the sound they have. I happen to know first hand that guitars made by New York Pro Guitars and Stadium Guitars are of the highest quality.

As far as the second part of that statement, most songs are not that difficult to play. You need to start jamming with a group of friends. There is a chemistry that starts to develop with the band, and people start to notice. One very important item, not all professionals having big record deals, playing local bars and special occasions takes a pro also. If you are getting paid for playing guitar, than you are a professional.

The Internet Advantage

Joe Miranda September 21, 2011

When I first had an interest in bass guitars back in the mid 1960′s it took much more of a commitment than it does today. The world of the Internet has put the world of guitars and all it’s information at every ones finger-tips.

Back then you were limited by the amount of knowledge your music teacher had, and the limit of the music store when it came to music books and musical instruments. I know for myself they had only one bass guitar in the store, and I purchased it.

Available on the Internet are electric guitar packages, and bass guitar packages, as well as individual bass, electric, and acoustic guitars. They’re available in many different colors and manufacturers. There are cheap electric guitars, cheap bass guitars as well as expensive ones. If you don’t want to learn how to play guitar from a teacher like I did, or a book the Internet has the Tabs on almost every song you want to learn. While Tabs is a great thing for established players new people going there sacrifice learning the basics for a fast way to play a song.

Guitar maintenance is made easier by the Internet also. It took quite a while to learn what the intonation meant on a guitar, where on the Internet that information and more is available.

Something To Share

Joe Miranda September 19, 2011

Thoughts of playing electric guitars and bass guitars fill your head, especially when you are watching or listening to your favorite band or guitar player. The purchase of electric guitar packages and/or bass guitar packages took you one step farther to your dream.

There’s one thing that happens when you enter the world of playing guitar, one thing that you never figured on, sharing. When you start jamming with a group of people the sharing begins. You get to try new electric guitars without purchasing them, you also get to share information and techniques that you have learned along the way. Oh yeah one more thing you get to share, it’s your knowledge of playing guitar with your children. I know from my personal experience it kept me close with my daughter who took up guitar, and we got to jam together.

Learn It All

Joe Miranda September 16, 2011

There are many reasons for people young and old to start playing electric guitars or bass guitars. The reasons range from someone who has always wanted to play guitar to others who have a favorite song, band or individual that they associate with and would like to play like them.

When starting to play everyone starts out playing cheap electric guitars and cheap bass guitars. For those who choose to learn from written or lessons on DVD don’t get too bored with the basics they are necessary. For those who chose other ways to learn the same thing applies, learn the basics, they are the foundation for those songs you want to learn how to play. Learning all the chords is more important learning those guitar solo’s.

A Guitar Treat

Joe Miranda September 15, 2011

When is the last time that you did something for yourself? Especially with the economy being what it is, it’s a hard thing to find some extra money for  yourself. Wouldn’t it be nice to find something that hasn’t been affected by rising costs.

Electric guitars and electric guitar packages might just be what you are looking for. Cheap electric guitars cost a fraction of the expensive guitars they look like. Let’s not forget bass guitars and bass guitar packages, they are as affordable as electric guitars are.

If you are a guitar player like me you know there is nothing like the feeling of playing a new guitar, or having several guitars to choose from. There is a definite difference in the sound from a hollow body guitar to a solid body guitar, just as there is a different sound going from a telecaster to a stratocaster electric guitar. So why not treat yourself today to a new guitar, you’ll be glad you did.

The Sum Of It’s Whole

Joe Miranda September 14, 2011

Great bands are made up from people playing electric guitars, bass guitars, and one or more adding to the vocals. Usually one or  two of the elements stand out, thus making the band stand out. It is from this that I say great bands are the sum of it’s whole.

Bass guitar packages and electric guitar packages are the same thing. While the main parts are made up from electric guitars and bass guitars along with guitar amplifiers and bass amplifiers, when you look at them there is much more there. Guitar tuners, stands, cases, and cleaning kits are things that are easily overlooked, but are really quite essential.

It Takes All Types

Joe Miranda September 13, 2011

If you are serious about playing guitar than you know that guitar is just a word. There are acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and bass guitars. There are several types of guitar that go into the make-up of each type.

Just to touch briefly on the subject, there are acoustic guitars that are amplified and those that are not. Electric guitars can be either solid body, or hollow body as in jazz guitars. The solid body electric guitars have many different styles all with their own sound. Bass guitars like electric guitars have many different styles.

Not to be confusing but each one comes in guitar packages, there are electric guitar packages, bass guitar packages, and acoustic guitar packages. Each one is made up of cheap electric guitars that are made to expensive models standards.

To play gigs and to be well rounded it is nice to have several types and styles to represent different sounds. Thanks to electric guitar packages having more than one guitar becomes a reality.

Good Vibrations

Joe Miranda September 11, 2011

Guitar packages like jazz guitar packages are a good thing for anyone thing to have or add to their collection of electric guitars. Similar to acoustic guitars that make use of a sound hole that gives off vibrations when you play it, the jazz guitar has two “f” holes that on it’s hollow body structure that do the same thing.

The sound is not that familiar twang you get from solid body electric guitars, but rather a soft amplified one that is unlike the solid body. Now I’m not saying to throw away your electric guitars in favor of jazz guitars, I’m saying there is room for both of them.
