Music Is Like Chicken Soup
What do you do when you have got a cold? You stay in bed and have a bowl of chicken soup because they make you feel better, well music does the same thing.
When your driving in your car and someone cuts you off, or something else has made you angry when a truely great song with a terrific bass guitar riff comes on, it immediately transports you to a happier place.
Do you listen to a radio station that takes lunch time requests, and you find that your one of the people calling in to request a song by Eric Clapton because hearing him play his electric guitar lightens up your day and makes you feel good.
My daughter Ashley does her homework listening to her ipod, when she is done with her homework you can find her either walking up to the mail box (which is approximately 600 feet from the house) to get the mail, or walking around the circle drive with her ipod in her hand listening to music. She also goes to bed listening to music, she says it relaxes her faster so she can get to sleep.
Don’t underestimate the power of that mellow strumming of that acoustic guitar, or even those extremely loud electric guitars of heavy metal, music makes you feel good, it’s like chicken soup for you mind and soul.
