They Are All Around Us

Joe Miranda July 31, 2010

Cheap electric guitars are all around us, all you have to do is just look. Lets face it not all of us have the extra cash to purchase an electric guitar made by one of the high end manufacturers.

Depending on how much money you are willing to spend these  electric guitars are not so cheap, in fact some of them are good enough to keep and play for a life time of dependable service. Many people who already play and own electric guitars already know how valuable one of these so called cheap guitars are worth. Many of these people own a great top name electric guitar and are rightfully afraid of the damage that can be done to it accidentally so they opt for a replacement to play at gigs. Most often than not when asked they would replace their cheap electric guitar immediately, as they have found the action an sound as good as their more expensive counterpart.

Nutty For Bass

Joe Miranda July 30, 2010

Bass guitar was not the first instruments I have played but it is my favorite. I have never been one to have an attention span long enough to play the music that is written on a piece of sheet music.

After learning to play the bass guitar I found it was easy to explore new sounds other than what is written. Now don’t get me wrong I don’t do this for every song but when I find myself getting bored of playing the same lines I like to change things up, it kind of keeps my interest.

I have played electric guitar in one of the bands I was in, actually I alternated between bass and guitar, I have also played tenor saxophone when I was in school. For a nut job like me bass guitars forgiveness allows me the freedom to explore my creativity.

Get Off The Fence

Joe Miranda July 29, 2010

How many people are thinking of starting a musical career by playing the guitar? One of the things they are not sure of is what type of guitar to start off with.

My feelings about that is, acoustic guitar packages are just the thing to get you off the fence. Not only are these acoustic guitars a thing of beauty, they can be played with or without a guitar amplifier. The more bucks you have to pluck down on one of these guitars the better the finish will be, along with a better equalizer, not to mention the appliques. You will find exceptional appliques around the sound hole, and also take notice of the binding all around the guitar.

When you lump together a guitar accessories like, a guitar amplifier, guitar stand, gig bag, electronic tuner, guitar strap, guitar cable, guitar polish with cloths, along with your choice of acoustic guitar it makes your choice a no brain-er, acoustic guitar packages it is.

Unplugged

Joe Miranda July 28, 2010

Unplugged is a term used when those rock stars that you are familiar with lay down there electric guitars that you are used to hearing them play in favor of a acoustic guitars played. The acoustic guitars are played without the use of guitar amplifiers.

After the electronics are taken out what you get is some pretty great music played by some pretty talented artists. I love this form of music because it features an artist that you may not feel to much about before but after you take away the sometimes loud and maybe not your kind of music, and add to it the mellow sound of an acoustic guitar you might just feel differently about that artist.

Check Out Stadium Guitars

Joe Miranda July 27, 2010

Are you in the market for a brand new electric guitar? Have you checked out the Stadium guitars? If you haven’t your in for a real treat.

I dare you to find electric guitars finished better than Stadium guitars. These guitars along with stadium guitars are finished to standards found on much higher priced electrics. Along with the great finish you will find licenced Grover gears. Stadium guitars can be found in most of the popular style guitars ranging from Strat to Tele to Jazz. These electric guitars are destined to become one of you favorites, once you have played one.

While your at it check out the New York Pro guitars, there made by the same people who make the Stadium guitars.

Guitar Packages Are For Everyone

Joe Miranda July 26, 2010

Did you know that guitar packages are for everyone. That’s right, no matter what your skill level is, it doesn’t  matter what it is a bass guitar, electric or acoustic guitar there is a guitar package for you.

There are guitar packages with jazz guitars, for those of you that like that style, as well as acoustic guitar packages for players who like to play unplugged, and of course we haven’t excluded bass guitar players, there are bass guitar packages designed just for you.

If you already own a electric guitar and amp and are thinking guitar packages are not for me than think again, purchasing another guitar package is a way to increase you sound by picking up a style of guitar you don’t have, and don’t forget the additional guitar amplifier, it can be used as a pre-amp.

If your looking to start a musical career playing electric guitar and don’t have a lot of money to purchase a guitar, don’t feel embarrassed, it starts with cheap electric guitars. Now I don’t know what age group your in but in my day most of your top band members who are all top names today started with a cheap guitar.

When I say cheap guitars you should see some of the electric guitars they started out with, today things are different, a new cheap guitar is only as cheap as you want to spend. Some of the cheaper guitars are real good for those who are starting out. If you want to spend more you can still but a cheap guitar but these will last you a good long time, some you won’t mind even playing gigs with.

Glen Burton Guitars

Joe Miranda July 24, 2010

Prior to having a store that sells electric guitars I never heard of some of the manufacturers like Glen Burton Guitars and New York Pro guitars, that I am selling . Like I’m sure many of you I was skeptical of anything other than the top manufacturers.

Much to my surprise these electric guitars and bass guitars play great, and for a much cheaper price. Team them up a 20 watt guitar amplifier and you are ready to play with the best of them. These electrics come in all your favorite styles which include strats, teles, and even jazz style guitars. You won’t be disappointed with the way these guitars look or sound, so make your move towards one of these fine electric guitars, and don’t let someone talk you out of it because these electric guitars are not made by one of the top and quite expensive guitar manufacturers. And while you’re at it check out New York Pro Guitars and Stadium Guitars, they too are made from the same fine quality like the Glen Burton Guitars.

Peer Presure

Joe Miranda July 23, 2010

There’s no denying it everything about electric guitars is hot, practicing or playing gigs there’s just something about playing guitar. Too many times someone just starting out is influenced by something they have read on the Internet about a guitar made by some other manufacturer with a lesser, or no name, rather than a Fender or Gibson electric guitar.

These cheap electric guitars as they are referred to are anything but cheap if they just gave them a chance. If you look hard enough on the Internet you might even find quite favorable articles about these electric guitars. The same thing applies to bass guitars, and acoustic guitars. Don’t be swayed by peer pressure when it comes to purchasing your guitar, just because a guitar is not made by a top name doesn’t make it a bad instrument.

So Much With So Little

Joe Miranda July 22, 2010

When Buddy Holly came on to rock and roll scene with the “Buddy Holly and the  Crickets” everyone thought he was crazy because he had a band that consisted of just three pieces, and electric guitar, a stand-up bass, and drums.  The thought of having any band with just three pieces was unheard of at that time.

While the normal band has electric guitar packages consisting of 2 electric guitars, a bass guitar, drummer, and more often than not someone playing keyboard. There are some bands that employ a brass section, and someone on percuss ions. For all of these bands they have enough instruments to give them a great gull sound, but did you ever think about some of the three piece bands that are around like Rush, and ZZ Top. How do they come up with such a full sound with so little pieces?
