Kenny Rogers went from playing the double bass in The New Christy Minstels to sharing the lead vocals, and playing a Fender Telecaster bass guitar in a group he helped form The First Edition. With hit songs like “Just Dropped In (To See What My Condition Was In)”, and “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love To Town” he catapulted his career to the superstar status it is today.
Kris Kristofferson has had a notable film career since the 70′s but did you know his credentials also include being a singer songwriter, and musician. He plays his acoustic guitar mostly on songs he has written like “Me And Bobby McGee” recorded by Roger Miller and Janis Joplin, and “Help Me Make It Through The Night” a song recorded by Elvis Presley and others.
