There have been many crossover musicians that have made successful careers as actors, the same can be said for the opposite, actors that have had successful careers in music.
Among the most famous that have made the switch is Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin. Both singers have had a genuine impact as actors. But how about the ones that are not that good. One actor that comes to mind is Keanu Reeves who plays electric guitar in a band called Dogstar. The band has tried to make a name for themselves using his star power to succeed, and not very well I might add.
Another stink-a-roo band is Tenacious D led by guitar playing Jack Black. They continue to tour today but I don’t understand the people that follow them because in my opinion the music just isn’t that good.
There have been plenty of other stars that have tried to cash in on their success as actors, Billy Bob Thornton, and Don Johnson are two more poor excuses.
