I need someone to explain to me why the guitarists with very little talent are jumping up and down on the stage strumming there electric guitars while other guitarists of much more talent stand there and let their guitar do the talking for them. With the exception of Angus Young of AC/DC doing his patented duck walk while playing his Gibson electric guitar I don’t get punk rock artists.
To me it seems like you don’t need to know a whole lot about playing guitar or bass guitar to be in a punk rock band. I know there is a big following for this music genre but I’m sorry I just don’t get it.
When you have guitarists like Jeff Beck, Mark Knofler, and Eric Clapton who just stand there and dazzle you with their gifted talent, punk rock bands just dazzle you by jumping up and down while playing a couple of chords.
