The weather is finally starting to turn from cold to warm to hot when we get into the summer. The biggest difference between the seasons especially if you play a guitar is, the warm weather brings moisture in the form of humidity.
Acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and bass guitars all have one thing in common, they are made of wood. One of the biggest enemies of wood is moisture.
During the warm weather the shift from days with higher humidity can reek havoc on your guitar through a thing call expansion an contraction. For this reason you must try to keep you guitar in a moisture controlled environment, unless you have enough money to purchase a new guitar every time it fails due to the glue joints failing from exposure to humidity.
