Try Two And Call Me In The Morning

Joe Miranda July 19, 2010

Having two cheap electric guitar packagesis better than having one real good very expensive guitars. Most people who own a really good name electric guitar are afraid to take it anywhere. This is because if it gets damaged they would have a difficult time replacing it.

It is for this reason they opt to pick up                          cheap electric guitars for practice and even play at at gigs. While doing this they make a very important discovery, the so called cheap electric guitar plays not so cheap, if you get what I mean. Three such electric guitar manufacturers are New York Pro guitars, Stadium guitars, and Glen Burton guitars, guitar players are finding out that these electric guitars are just as good as their very expensive guitar, and most say they would replace them f something were to happen to them.

Natural Talent

Joe Miranda July 16, 2010

Whether it be professional sports, writing, drawing, or playing electric guitar there is no substitute for practicing. Even if you are one of those very lucky individuals who have natural talents you still need to practice religiously.

For me one of the keys of practicing is to stay focused. This is not always an easy thing to do, life has a lot of distractionsand sometimes we need a little help. One way to stay focused is, if you have some extra cash get yourself one of the great new electric guitar packages that are available, if this is not an option for you find yourself someone else who plays electric guitar, or even bass guitar and practice with them. I always found when I practiced with the rest of the band your concentration is better.

Thanks to video games like Guitar Hero playing electric guitars has remained one the great instruments to play. Playing the electric guitar became the thing to do back in the early 60’s when a little known band called The Beatles brought a sound to rock and roll that revived what the late Buddy Holly tried to do.

While playing Guitar Hero with it’s electric guitar, and bass guitar copies that emulate their original guitars, there’s nothing like playing the real thing. Playing guitar is an accomplishment that only a few people know, and many people are in awe of. It is something you can take with you through your lifetime, no matter what your skill level is.

So for all you Guitar Hero gurus I say put down those fake guitars and pick up a real electric guitar, you will be glad you did.

Partial To The Bass

Joe Miranda July 14, 2010

I have played bass guitar more than 40 years and have found it to be one of the more creative instruments. I have played rhythm guitar on stage as well as tenor saxophone and for me bass guitars are the way to go.

Now don’t get me wrong I’m not saying bass guitar is the hardest instrument to play, I’m just saying it is the most creative. Playing rhythm guitar you are pretty much locked into playing a song straight on with no variations, not so with bass, while you can play the bass guitar line the way it is written, with a little creativity you can come up with your own bass line that will make that song yours.

Beginners Choice

Joe Miranda July 13, 2010

Are you just starting out playing electric guitar and are undecided on what to look into for your first guitar? I would like to suggest to a brand of guitar that you may or may not have heard of before, Glen Burton guitars.

Glen Burton guitars are an attractive and affordable line of guitar that can take you from beginner to intermediate, and even to playing gigs. They come in different most popular styles and colors, and if you pick their stratocaster line they feature a European style pick guard. You will be quite impressed with the sound of these guitars, especially when they cost only a fraction of the cost of higher end guitars. If your looking for a first electric guitar, or maybe even a second or third, you might want to try one of these beauties, you might be surprised.

Because It Makes A Great Gift

Joe Miranda July 12, 2010

Is someone very close coming up with a birthday, graduation or some other event? Have ever thought of giving them the gift of music?

If you have acoustic guitar packages are just the thing you should be looking into. Although electric guitars outsell acoustic guitars, (mainly because their seen ore often by music groups) they can also be more intimidating, especially to someone who has never picked up, or played a guitar before. An acoustic guitar however is less intimidating, and in many ways a more beautiful guitar. For one thing if you pick up an acoustic electric guitar it can be played with a guitar amplifier or by itself. Another thing you will find is the higher you pay in most cased it will get you a better equalizer, along with very pretty inlay work around the sound hole. Acoustic guitar packages are affordable and make a great gift for that special someone.

It Takes Two

Joe Miranda July 10, 2010

Have you been playing bass guitar or electric guitar for sometime now on your own? When you practice do you practice songs along with your normal finger exercises? Are you fairly proficient at the songs you play? Do you get bored playing guitar by yourself?

Having you ever thought of playing in a band? When you think about it, all it takes to start a band is two people with their own electric guitar packagesamd a desire to make music. Don’t worry if you play a few wrong notes, the average person that listens to music without playing guitar won’t notice the difference.

If you’re not sure of what kind of music you can play just look around, Buddy Holly started the graze with just three pieces, an electric guitar, a stand up bass, and a drummer. If Buddy Holly is to old for you how about Rush, Alex Lifeson, outstanding bass guitar player Geddy Lee, and Neil Peart do alright for just three pieces.

Practicing With Songs

Joe Miranda July 3, 2010

Learning how to play bass guitars or electric guitars is a terrific thing, providing you can keep you level of focus high enough to keep your interest. When practicing it’s very to practice your scales, if for nothing else it keeps your fingers nimble and loose. When practicing the conventional way it’s easy to lose your focus, and thus lose your interest.

Anybody wanting to learn guitar today has a big advantage over the days when I learned, thanks to the Internet. Years back all you had to study from is your music book, you know the one with the boring lessons along with the boring songs. Using a lesson plan is a good thing but sometimes you need a little bit more, so how about practicing with one of your favorite songs. So if you like Lynyrd Skynyrd look up one of their songs using Tabs, find the song on You Tube if you don’t already have it in your collection, and play along with it. You just might surprise yourself with how far you have come playing guitar.

Bass Guitars For The Beginners

Joe Miranda July 2, 2010

When I started playing bass guitar in the mid 60’s cheap bass guitars were a great entry level towards owning your own guitar. There are many advantages to starting off with cheap bass guitars.

When you first start out playing bass guitar not only are you learning how to play bass, but your also learning about the bass guitar itself, how to tune it, and how to care for it. With every new experience there is going to be mistakes made, this again goes for both learning to play and caring for your instrument. If you were to start out with a bass guitar that costs thousands of dollars and you would be very made at yourself if you did something that would let’s say hurt the finish of it, you would be reminded of it every time you pick it up. I know experienced guitar players that own Gibson’s and Fender’s, and who also have cheap electric guitars that they take with them on gigs. They do this one because the cheap bass guitar is as good as the more expensive one, when they get done with it, and also if something were to happen they would rather it happen to the cheaper guitar than the more expensive one.

I hope you like the title for this blog because I think it is quite funny too. All to often I either hear it or read it that just because some electric guitars aren’t made by Fender or Gibson they are considered cheap electric guitars and are no good.

Would you like to know what makes them cheap electric guitars, the price. That’s right I said the price. First of all, not everybody has thousands of dollars to spend on a high end electric guitar, second of all, have you checked out the quality of the knock-off brands guitars, they just might surprise you. These so called cheap electric guitars range in price and the higher price you are willing to spend will get you an electric guitar with a finish that’s just as good as those top brands, in fact they are so good some people take this cheaper guitar and fit if with pick-ups, and volume controls of a Fender, for just a fraction of what it would cost you coould wind up with a cheap electric guitar with that sounds like you paid thousands.
